@indman101 I like them both equally as well. DuPont panels are cheaper per watt so I like that. The nice thing about HF panels is that with a discount coupon you can get them for $150 a kit vs. the DuPont panels which you have to buy four at a time so that will run about $500 and have to buy a charge controller. So the HF kit has a lower cost of entry when money is tight – who doesn’t like that? Downside is that are more expensive per watt than DuPont. God bless you!

@indman101 Sending you a PM with website address where you can get them cheaper. A 15watt or even 45watt kit won’t be of much help for what you want. If your window AC draws 200 watts while running and you have 40 watts of CFL lights then you’ll need something like 400 watts to be able to do it (since none of these items will run 24/7).

would be nice to be off the grid,I have part shade over my house in the summer time,my garage is seperate from my house thought maybe I could start on my garage was looking at Harbor freight sight they have the 45 watt solar panel kit for $199.99 and seperate panels are$79.99 kits would be cheaper,12 volt 30 amp charger controller $79.99 my house is small 25ftx25ft and small two car garage futher back from my house,would be great to get off the grid or use it very little

@indman101 All solar panels will last you 25 years plus. Are you going to be off grid or dedicate a circuit to those applications?

im just learning about going solar Ive been told Harbor freight panels last up to 15 yrs is there a better bang for the buck?like to have something powerful enough to run a 110 ac window unit and lights in my garage,would love to work my way off the grid but looking to spend the money for the right equipment up front,not much wind here in indiana so interested in the solar power Thanks and great video’s

for the joint 4:23 …the olive oil is not a good idea since the adhesion is so strong …use some heat instead (a candle will do!) . Heat the first bottom a little bit than put the joint it would be a lot easier and less frustrating
